BSA900 is designed primarily for lithium-ion battery incidents. Australian testing is now being arranged to confirm whether the final product will also carry ratings for additional fire classes.

No formal training is required for general domestic use.

Compared to standard powder extinguishers which discharge rapidly, create heavy residue and require frequent servicing - BSA's water-based units offer a more controlled application and are purpose-built for lithium battery incidents.

To ensure your BSA unit is ready when you need it, follow these guidelines:

Location
Store in a visible, easily accessible area. Do not block or obstruct access with furniture or equipment.

Temperature
Keep within an operating range of 0°C to 60°C. Avoid exposure to extreme heat or freezing conditions.

Mounting
Mount securely using a wall bracket or approved mounting system in accordance with AS 2444 signage where applicable. Ensure the handle and hose are positioned for quick, unobstructed use.

Visibility
Ensure the unit is clearly visible at all times, with appropriate signage where required.

Environment
Store in a clean, dry area. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, corrosive environments or direct sunlight.

Routine Checks
We recommend periodic visual inspections to ensure the unit is in good condition, with no visible damage.

Servicing
For commercial or workplace environments, fire equipment is typically serviced in accordance with AS 1851.

As lithium-specific extinguishers are an emerging category in Australia - servicing requirements may vary. We recommend checking with your fire safety provider or local authority to determine appropriate maintenance schedules.

All BSA™ products come with a 24-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal storage and handling conditions.

This warranty applies to faults in materials or workmanship prior to use.

The warranty does not cover:

• Use or discharge of the extinguisher
• Improper storage or environmental exposure
• Misuse, tampering, or unauthorised modifications
• Normal wear and tear

If a fault is identified, the product will be assessed and an appropriate remedy provided.

BSA is currently progressing Australian laboratory testing ahead of the first shipment. We'll keep pre-order customers updated with key testing milestones as we move through the process and confirm the expected dispatch window as soon as it is locked in.

Australia does not currently have a dedicated standard specifically certifying portable extinguisher performance for lithium-ion battery fires. AS/NZS 1841 covers conventional multi-use portable extinguisher categories and is not a dedicated lithium battery fire standard.
